Recently, Jiangsu Haifa successfully won the bid for the centrifugal pump procurement project of Chongqing Yuhuan Bioenergy Co., Ltd., marking that our products have gained recognition from a key customer in the emerging environmental protection field of bioenergy.

1. Selection is the first step to success: Look beyond parameters to "internal quality"

  • Medium analysis is fundamental: Before selection, be sure to determine the detailed characteristics of the medium, including but not limited to temperature, pH value, solid content and particle size, viscosity, and presence of grease. You can provide samples to us, and our technical team can conduct targeted analysis.

  • Material matching determines lifespan: For corrosive media such as biomass fermentation liquid, the material selection for flow-passing components (e.g., impeller, pump casing) is critical. The pumps we provided for the Yuhuan project use special wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant alloy materials in their core components, which can better handle long-term wear and chemical corrosion than ordinary stainless steel.

  • Sealing solution is key: Leakage is a common pain point. Depending on the medium pressure and characteristics, you can choose cartridge mechanical seals, double-face seals, or even leak-free magnetic drive seals. 2. Installation and commissioning: Details determine a smooth start

  • Inlet piping: Keep the inlet piping as short and straight as possible, with a diameter not smaller than the pump inlet size, to avoid air pockets or cavitation. It is recommended to install an appropriate filter at the inlet to prevent large foreign objects from entering.

  • Trial operation check: Before startup, manual rotation should feel even; after startup, closely monitor current, pressure, vibration, and temperature rise, and record initial data as a benchmark for future maintenance.

  • Regular performance testing: Periodically (e.g., quarterly or semi-annually), test the pump's actual flow rate and head, compare them with the initial performance curve to determine if efficiency has decreased, and plan major maintenance accordingly.

4. Troubleshooting common problems

  • Insufficient flow or reduced head: First check if the inlet filter is clogged, if the valve is fully open, and then check if the impeller is worn or clogged. Changes in medium viscosity can also cause this problem.

  • Excessive pump vibration or noise: Prioritize checking for alignment deviation and loose anchor bolts. Then check for bearing wear, foreign objects inside the pump, or cavitation.

  • Mechanical seal leakage: Check if the seal flushing system (if equipped) is unobstructed and if the pressure is appropriate. It could also be due to worn sealing faces or aged O-rings, requiring replacement.
