Recently, the intelligent transformation project of the double-tower series desulfurization system for the 2×650MW units at Shandong Feixian Company was successfully completed and put into operation, marking that the company's desulfurization system has officially entered a new stage of "precise control, high efficiency and energy saving, and intelligent operation maintenance." This transformation not only enhances the automation level of the desulfurization process but also imposes higher requirements on the stable operation, energy-saving control, and intelligent monitoring of chemical pumps.

In the desulfurization system, Haifa chemical pumps are key equipment ensuring slurry transportation and circulation operation. This intelligent transformation focused on deploying systems such as intelligent slurry supply, intelligent auxiliary operation of slurry circulation pumps, and intelligent oxidation control. By combining online detection with algorithm models, real-time monitoring of slurry quality, operating parameters, and equipment status is achieved. the addition of online analyzers for sulfite and chloride ions, as well as a visual device for slurry pool liquid level, the system can automatically adjust the slurry supply volume and circulation pump operation mode based on changes in desulfurization load, reducing manual intervention and improving operational stability.

As a core chemical pump in the desulfurization system, the Haifa slurry circulation pump is designed for long-term transport of slurries containing solids, chloride ions, and corrosive, requiring high standards for pump body material, impeller wear resistance, seal reliability, and operational efficiency. Through the intelligent auxiliary operation system, the start-stop and operation combination of pump sets can be reasonably adjusted based on changes in unit load, slurry density, pH value, and absorption tower liquid level, avoiding the "big horse pulling a small cart" phenomenon, reducing ineffective energy consumption, and extending the service life of key components such as the pump body, impeller, and mechanical seal.

After the transformation, the daily average operation volume at the panel of Unit #2 decreased by 48%, and the comprehensive energy consumption of the desulfurization system for #1 and #2 under medium and low loads was reduced by over5%. Meanwhile, through intelligent regulation to precisely control the pH value, the average calcium carbonate content in gypsum dropped from .5% before the transformation to 2.7%, effectively reducing limestone consumption and environmental operation costs.

Overall, the intelligent upgrade of the desulfurization system is inseparable from the support of highly reliableifa chemical pumps. In the future, intelligent pumps with corrosion resistance wear resistance, high efficiency, and monitoring capabilities will play an even more important role in environmental governance fields such as thermal power, steel, cement, waste incineration.
