The 2026 First Phase Nuclear Power Pump Professional Capability Enhancement Training Course, hosted by the Nuclear Power Operation Technology Committee of the China Nuclear Energy Association, was successfully held in Chengdu, Sichuan. This training specially invited experienced instructors from Lanzhou University of Technology, Suzhou Thermal Engineering Research Institute Co., Ltd., CGN Nuclear Power Operations Co., Ltd., and Fujian Fuqing Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. to deliver lectures. Emphasizing the integration of theory and practice, the training adopted various distinctive teaching methods such as group discussions, hands-on exercises, and questionnaire surveys. The curriculum covered multiple topics, including basic knowledge of nuclear power pumps, vibration issues of water pumps, key technologies of typical main coolant pumps in nuclear power plants common standards for nuclear-grade pumps, key technologies of typical nuclear Class II and III pumps in nuclear power plants, and typical operational and maintenance experience feedback for nuclear power pumps. The training received unanimous praise from both instructors and participants. Its successful implementation not only effectively enhanced the core professional technical capabilities of the trainees in daily management, operation and maintenance, and in-depth fault diagnosis of nuclear power pump equipment, but also built a bridge for mutual learning and experience sharing among units within the industry. Taking this first equipment-specific training as an opportunity, the Nuclear Power Operation Technology Committee of the China Nuclear Energy Association will further expand and deepen special empowerment actions in key equipment fields, continuously playing an active role in improving the performance of various industry units and providing strong support for the rapid development of China's nuclear energy industry.
