I. Product Overview

The BA Series Chemical Process Pump is a high-efficiency, heavy-duty chemical process pump developed by Jiangsu Haifa Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd. in accordance with API 610 (American Petroleum Institute Standard) 11th Edition. Among them, the BB4 type features a radially split, multi-stage, between-bearings design, suitable for demanding conditions requiring high head and moderate flow rates.

The BB4 pump offers smooth operation, excellent cavitation performance, high sealing reliability, and easy maintenance. It is widely used in petrochemicals, coal chemicals, power plants, seawater desalination, and general industrial processes.

    • CFD-optimized impeller and diffuser hydraulic models provide high efficiency, wide high-efficiency range, and low NPSH requirement.

  6. Flexible Material Options

    • Wetted parts available in cast iron, carbon steel, 304/316L stainless steel, duplex stainless steel, Hastelloy, etc., suitable for acids, alkalis, hydrocarbons, and media containing solid particles.

  7. Reliable Sealing System

    • Single or double mechanical seals, API 682 standard flushing plans (Plan 11/21/31/52/53, etc.).

  8. Heavy-Duty Bearings & Lubrication

    • Standard oil bath lubrication, with optional oil mist or forced oil lubrication; bearing life >25,000 hours.

VII. Performance Curves (Illustrative)

  • Q-H Curve: Head decreases gently as flow increases (characteristic of multi-stage pumps)

  • Q-η Curve: Wide high-efficiency range, efficiency at rated point ≥75%

  • Q-NPSHr Curve: Low NPSH requirement; inducer optional for certain conditions


VIII. Installation & Maintenance Highlights

  1. Installation

    • Pump-motor alignment accuracy ≤0.05mm

    • Stress-free piping connection; avoid cavitation in suction line

    • Prime and vent pump before first startup

  2. Maintenance

    • Check bearing temperature (≤75°C) and vibration

    • Mechanical seal: no leakage or slight seepage (≤5 ml/h)

    • Inspect bearings and seals every 4,000 operating hours or six months

  3. Overhaul

    • Remove casing cover bolts and extract rotating assembly as a unit

    • Replace wear parts such as impellers, diffusers, shaft sleeves

    • Perform rotor dynamic balancing after reassembly
